Cruisin Roosters Car Club

Early in the spring of 2005 I was becoming more and more discontent with the car club I was with, therefore, I decided to start a new club in Decatur.

I had thought of several names for the new club but finally settled on Cruisin Roosters.

When I was in high school, my dad owned a chicken farm and I was always fascinated with the beautiful roosters and that fascination followed me through the years, thus Cruisin Roosters Car Club.

In November of 2005, I began to put the club together.  I contacted Roger Campbell and Huey Connour and told them of my intentions and asked for help and where The Story Begins.

The first meeting was then held at my home on November 18, 2005 and invited the following people:
                Bill and Mary Cowell
                Sam and Connie Wilderman
                Kenny and Pat Lewis
                Milton and Barb Joyner
                Bob and Dorothy Fessler
                Dave and Barb Morthland

I personally asked Roger Campbell to preside at that meeting where we decided to go forward with the new club and scheduled the next meeting for December 16, 2005 at the Maverick Steak House.
